Talk Title: There’s Plenty of Room at the Bottom!
Talk Blurb: In 1959, the famous American physicist Richard Feynman suggested that there was plenty of room at thebottom (i.e. at atomic scale) for novel science. Feynman’s vision is now becoming a reality thanks in part to micromotors and nanomotors – tiny biological or manmade devices that can convert energy from their environment into autonomous motion. From personalized healthcare to environmental sustainability and security, can these tiny devices help us address some of the key challenges facing today’s society?
